MAS DE LUNES
THE BERCEAU
The sea rolled its pebbles here 35 million years ago. It has now given way to 1,000 hectares of unspoilt garrigue, backing onto the hills of La Moure and holding at its heart one of the jewels in the crown of the Jeanjean Vineyards, the Mas de Lunès. In this unique ecosystem, populated by vines, beehives, olive groves and abundant game, organic viticulture is a matter of course.
THE BALANCE OF GRES DE MONTPELLIER
The vineyards of Mas de Lunès stretch over gently undulating hills parallel to the coast. It is characterised by its maritime influence, with the Mediterranean Sea visible from every high point. This very special situation, combined with the predominantly chalky soil of red clay with rolled pebbles, gives the wines a balanced intensity and a distinctive minty character.
