Terroir & vineyards
The Camargue is a wild and colourful region. Both sand and a palate of pink colours represent this land. Our Domaine le Pive is located in the heart of the region, planted in a soil of fine sands. This is where our rosé is made. A luminescent colour, remarkable freshness, expressive aromas of small red berries and citrus fruits… this is a heavenly rosé, a wine to share !
A rosé from a blend of Grenache Gris (30%), Grenache Noir (30%), Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (10%) .
Vinification and aging
Harvest starts around mid-August. We practice berry analysis to determine the harvest date of each plot. The harvest takes place at night, to preserve the aromatic freshness of the grapes. As the cellar is just near the vineyard, the berries arrive in intact conditions. 70% of the free run juice is sent directly to the vats, the rest of the grapes goes to the pressing machine. A 5-day contact with lees from the must to extract intense aromas and a fleshy character. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 15-18°C.
A pale pink colour that offers fresh aromas of strawberry and citrus fruit. The palate is well balanced with a fresh and acidulous finish.
Met & Wine Agreement
To enjoy at 10°C right now or within 2 years maximum in order to get the maximum freshness. This rosé pleases everyone and will pair very well with most of your meals : apéritif, salads, white meats, sushi or comté cheese.
