Terroir & vineyards
Located on the heights of the plateau of Aumelas, 200 meters above sea level, the vineyards of Devois des Agneaux literally grow in the rock. This combination of climate, altitude and soil naturally limits yields and offers intense, concentrated wines with a very expressive aromatic palette.
Vinification and aging
Machine harvesting. Destemming. Cold prefermentation maceration. Fermentation in stainless-steel vats (25-28°C), with daily pump-overs (1-4 per day) and one or two rack-and-returns, followed by long maceration for optimum extraction. Malolactic fermentation in stainless-steel vats.
An intense garnet red colour and complex nose with black fruit, garrigue and cocoa notes. In the palate spicy and concentrated aromas, with silky tannins. Smooth vanilla finish.
