Terroir & vineyards
The vines are located in the northernmost part of the estate, hidden between two valleys on clay-limestone terraces. The warm and dry Mediterranean climate is tempered by the sea winds. Mas de Lunès is located in the middle of an unspoilt ecosystem of Mediterranean scrubland.
A wine exclusively composed of Pinot Noir.
Vinification and aging
The grapes are harvested by a grape harvesting machine with sorting on board. Once destemmed, the grapes are placed in stainless steel vats to give place to controlled alcoholic fermentation at a temperature between 23 and 28 ° C. Daily pumping over is done for better extraction of color and aroma.
This brightly red pinot noir offers an expressive nose with aromas of red fruits (cherry) with smoky and mineral nuances (gunflint). The palate is fruity with a fine structure and soft tannins.
