Terroir & vineyards
The vines of Mas Of Lunes White are planted on terraces of marl Tertiary, called “soubergues”, on a bed of limestone lacustrine. The warm and dry Mediterranean climate is tempered by the sea winds. The estate is located in the middle of an ecosystem preserved Mediterranean scrubland.
An assemblage composed of Roussanne (40%), Marsanne (40%), Vermentino (10%) and Grenache blanc (10%).
Vinification and aging
The grapes are harvested at night by a grape picking machine with embedded sorting to preserve the aromatic freshness of the grapes. They are then directly pressed and we operate a cold static settling before the alcoholic fermentation carried out in frustoconical tanks in wood and barrels of 500 liters for the most beautiful Roussanne and Marsanne, and in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats for the rest of the assembly. .
The aging takes place during 4 months, ¼ of the wine in barrels of 500 liters, the rest in stainless steel tanks on fine lees.
This white wine has a golden color and an intense and complex nose with aromas of fruit (peach, passion fruit), vanilla and toast. Good balance in the mouth between power and roundness; it continues on a soft finish with shades of white-fleshed fruit.
