Terroir & vineyards
While the estate is named after the stream running through the vineyard, the wine itself takes its name from the sheer quartzite cliff that dominates the vineyard in Causses-et-Veyran.
Vinification and aging
Machine harvesting. Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats (25°C). Long maceration period for Syrah grapes (20 days). Malolactic fermentation in stainless-steel vats.
Tasting notes
An intense black colour. A delicate nose with black fruit and pepper aromas and a slightly smoky note. In the mouth, a black fruit notes underpinned by a rich yet supple structure
Met & Wine Agreement
Goes well with lamb skewers or game (venison with cranberries, quail with grapes). To be enjoyed at 16-17°C, immediately or within 5 years.
