Terroir & vineyards
The vines of Domaine le Pive are planted on a ground composed solely of fine sands of marine and wind origin of the Camargue coast. The warm and dry Mediterranean climate is tempered by the proximity of the sea.
A wine made from a blend of Merlot (60%) and Grenache Noir (40%).
Vinification and aging
The grapes are harvested at night to preserve the aromatic freshness of the grapes. The grapes are placed in stainless steel vats to achieve the fermentation, we operate a very short maceration to obtain a nice flexibility. Malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats as well as aging for 3 months.
A red wine with a low ruby color, characteristic of the wines of the sands. The nose offers a bouquet of red berries (strawberries). In the mouth we find these fruit aromas with lots of crunchiness and with few tannins.
Met & Wine Agreement
To be served at 10-12 ° C with charcuterie, grilled meats or light cheeses.
