Terroir & vineyards
Located on the heights of the plateau of Aumelas, 200 meters above sea level, the vineyards of Devois des Agneaux literally grow in the rock. This combination of climate, altitude and soil naturally limits yields and offers intense, concentrated wines with a very expressive aromatic palette.
Vinification and aging
Destemming. Cold pre-fermenting maceration. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks (25-28°C) with daily pumping over (1 to 4 per day) and 1 or 2 rack and returns. Long maceration for optimal extraction. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks
A deep garnet color and complex nose with black fruit and garrigue notes. On the palate, amazing freshness, silky with a smooth vanilla finish.
Met & Wine Agreement
To be tasted at 16-17°C on its own or with a grilled rib steak, a game stew or matured cheese.
